Ok, so a quick run of links, in case you haven't been following: www.cumberlink.com/articles/2008/09/04/sports/local/doc48bec10f1b069854515204.txtwww.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/sports/college/s_586586.html?source=rss&feed=15Long story short, a "small amount" of marijuana found in the apartment where 4 of the players live. According to everything I've read, Evans and Koroma weren't actually at the apartment when this all went down. That, apparently, doesn't matter as they're both benched for Saturday. Quarless will join them, while A.J. Wallace will be playing. Still, there's not a lot of talk or evidence on anything that the players were involved in. So i'm kind of at a loss as to why the guys are sitting for Saturday's game, but there you have it. (Oh, and the police were called in on a "noise disturbance" call. At 8pm. *shakes head at pussy Penn Staters*) And, for me, it was a small amount of mary jane - there could be worse things. You know, like getting a DUI.... Speaking of which, good-bye Willie Harriott. Reportedly a DUI, which would be his 2nd at PSU. And for me, at this point, good bye and good luck. While it's thinning out the team, I'm all for this short leash the program is using. Of course, i'd like to see facts first (see Evans and Koroma above) before we start suspending players. But if it's consistency across the board they're looking for, then so be it.
