There are 7 games to go. Two against Toronto, two against the rangers, Ottawa, Isles, and Florida. I say they win at least four of these games, and maybe get a point in 6 of them. That would put them at 102 points. Now who they play in the first round will be interesting. I just hope for no Pittsburgh matchup in the first round becasue who ever comes out of that will be brutally beaten up. Thoughts?

Well, after that crap-fest tonight, is anyone else hoping we slide to the #6 spot so we face the other team backing into the playoffs in the Devils?

Well, after that crap-fest tonight, is anyone else hoping we slide to the #6 spot so we face the other team backing into the playoffs in the Devils? Not a chance in hell do I want to face the Devils. I realize that they're slumping right now. But they're the Devils... and they still have Brodeur. And we still can't win in Jersey, which they would have home ice. Definitely not interested. There aren't going to be many easy first round matchups... Washington, Carolina (I realize they're hot), NYR, or Montreal... maybe even Boston, those are the teams I would be ok with facing. Keep Pittsburgh and Montreal as far away as possible.... And I realize this was posted before we went 1-1-1 in the first 3 games, but we're not getting to 102 I don't think. We have 4 games left now... So the most we can get is 103. We're not going to win or go to OT in every one of these games I don't think. Florida will be a tough game, and the Rangers only have 3 games left and need to keep winning to make it, so both of those will be tough. Islanders should be a win, but given how we just played against them I don't know.
