As has been pointed out by my "other sources", Kendrick was ahead of schedule when he was brought up two years ago. He helped us make the push to the playoffs in 2007 mostly because nobody in the majors had seen his stuff. Give them the better part of a season, and sure enough, they started to figure him out. Not that he's a bad pitcher, he just hasn't fully developed. Had he stayed in the minors, this would likely be the year he'd be ready for the bigs. Give him some time to work on his mechanics and his pitches - he's getting more comfortable with his change-up - and he may find his way back to the Phillies again. Or he's good trade bait - it's all the same in the end.
I'm curious to see where they go with this 5th spot. I think Haap has earned it at this point, but they might feel more comfortable with the veteran in Park starting the season, and Haap either in the bullpen or relegated back to the minors (depending on where they think he'll get the more important experience). I wouldn't be surprised if Park starts as the #5, Haap begins in the bullpen - if Park pitches well, Haap gets sent back to the minors (unless he pitches like Madson out of the pen); if Park tanks, Haap gets moved into the starting rotation, and Park moves to the pen.
If you didn't follow that, you're likely not alone. And no, I won't diagram it either - typing it out hurt my head enough as is.

I will continue to pull for Haap. I think between him and cole we could end up having really amazing lefties. After looking at the game today park gave up another 3 runs. Id rather him be put in the bullpen. As I have said before if Chan Ho becomes the starter we will be calling him Chan Ho Parking lot.

And again... you've been calling him Chan Ho Parking Lot since the day he signed here. It won't matter if he's the starter or not, you've already dubbed him that nickname.
