Ok so Nitty is now 13-0-0 against the Thrashers. That is just redic. The guy has been playing awesome. He seems to be square and moving very well. I think he has been out playing Biron. Agree? and if so do you think we shall start seeing more Nitty?

Play him more.
Fuck Biron. That Boston game Saturday was flat out disgusting. I was sitting at the opposite end, so I could see his positioning pretty well... or his lack of positioning I should say. 3 terrible goals. If he's in net that whole game, we get blown out of the water.
The team has confidence in Nitty, as they should.
Play him more.

FWIW: www.torontosun.com/sports/columnists/steve_buffery/2009/02/09/8317171-sun.htmland FTA: Martin Biron's days with the Philadelphia Flyers may be numbered. His days as the club's starting goaltender appear to be over. Biron, whose contract (at $3.5 million per season) expires at season's end, had lost four straight games before starting Saturday against Boston at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston. In that game, Biron looked shaky, allowing the Bruins to jump ahead 3-1 on 15 shots. He was pulled for backup Antero Niittymaki, who stopped all 22 shots he faced in a 4-3 come-from-behind win for the Flyers. The word is, the Flyers are going to now try to ship Biron out before the trade deadline. Take it for whatever it is, but it's an interesting insight. If Nitty keeps up the play, I wouldn't be surprised if the Flyers make some serious attempts to move Biron. Doesn't mean that he's gone (still need a "buyer" in this whole trade thing), but he'll be shopped.

I see a similar situation to how we acquired him. A struggling team, looking to improve for next year, tries to get him early for a pick or something and tries to get him signed, just like we did.
I've had enough of him, personally. He's shaky, inconsistent. Yes, he was a key to us going as far as we did last year in the playoffs. But he hasn't looked like that for 1 period this year, let alone a stretch of games.
Nitty has looked great. Give him a chance. Or see if you can deal for Backstrom if Minnesota is selling at the deadline. If not, try for him in the off season. Either way, I'm fine with giving Nitty one last shot at taking the reigns as #1, or acquiring the first true #1 goalie this team will have had since Hextall.
