Did any one see they had changed the rule about inducting people into the college football hall of fame? He is one of the inductees this weekend. He wont be retired before he becomes a hall of famer!

Sadly, this is not actually new (nor just for JoePa). Bowden was enshrined last year, however I believe the hope was to get both enshrined the same year (I think JoePa's injury at the end of 2006 kept that from happening - thus his enshrinement this year). But with both, I think the committee just wanted to let both be alive for this, seeing how both might very well die on the sidelines before they retire.
